Still here!
Thought I might let you all know I'm still around. I'm just rather swamped with work at the moment.
I'll be travelling to Queensland on assignment next month and it looks like I'll be travelling cross-country quite a bit. I hope to get some great photos of the sunny state during that time.
I've also decided to break the bank and purchase a Canon EF 35mm 1.4 from the states while I can. Seems like it finally won out over my 24-70mm or 35mm debate and I'll likely continue to walk the path of primes.
So the 35 should arrive right in time for Animania Festival, where I'm tossing up between making the most of video or continuing to stick with what I know and shoot stills. Perhaps a bit of both might do the trick?
In the meantime, I'll still be writing up articles when I can. Don't worry, there'll be plenty of stuff coming up soon!
It’s been a while
Laziness has set in!
Actually, I normally sit at a cafe during my lunch and write little stories for this site. That hasn't been happening lately.
I've more recently been taking to the park and having a long sit around, contemplating my navel.
Contemplate no longer, there are articles to write! I'll get back into the swing of things sooner than later.
Meanwhile, do feel free to follow a little project I'm running called Seven In Sydney. The idea is to take seven theme-based photos a week.
Work is gross
Does anyone else get the feeling like they'd really like a shower when they're at work?
I'm sitting here and nearly every day I feel like a shower would be so nice, even when I have one in the morning before coming in.

A fellow photographer friend of mine passed me a link to the Free Photo Guides website today. There's a lot of neat info there. It's worth a look even if you know a lot of places to shoot at in your area.
Finances
It's been a pretty harsh month in terms of my financial position thanks to the onset of cyclical bills all at the same time and unexpected expenses. Thanks to a bit of photography work on the side, my net cash flow for this month just scraped through as positive. Does this mean love really is paying the rent?
Invisible avocado
As I was eating my avocado and salmon sushi roll today, I heard something drop on to my table, followed by the discovery of a avocado shaped hole in my roll. For some strange reason, I can't find any trace of it on my table. I'm really confused and am beginning to wonder if it actually happened.
Deadlines have dead in them for a reason
On deadline this week. I'm harranging people that were meant to get back to me. I don't necessarily like doing it, but it has to be done.
Unwell
I'm feeling pretty crook at the moment, otherwise I'd be out at Vivid Sydney taking photos. Hopefully I get better before it finishes, but it would've been nice to go tonight.
